GANES International Conference for Nurse Educators


 

Nurse educators from around the world will converge in Washington, DC for the second Global Alliance for Leadership in Nursing Education and Science (GANES) conference on December 9-11, 2010. The conference will exploring issues connected with the global challenge of increasing capacity and ensuring sustainability in the nursing workforce.

Nearly 100 abstracts will be presented on topics ranging from developing academic leadership, building international collaborations, fostering innovation and excellence, leveraging the politics of nursing education and research, and creating a thriving academic environment. Keynote speakers include Prof. Pauline Nugent, Dean of Health Sciences at Australian Catholic University; Dr. Maria Antonieta Rubio Tyrrell, President of the Association of Latin American Schools and Faculties of Nursing; and HRSA Administrator Mary Wakefield.
