Addressing Non Communicable Diseases: It Takes a Workforce!
[UNITED STATES] This Global Health Workforce Alliance event will be September 19 at 1:15 in New York. It will include high level policy makers, NGO and private sector representatives and health workers and aims to: review the Moscow Declaration which highlights chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer and chronic respiratory diseases as the leading causes of death; and emphasize the need for scaling up and equitable access to health workers for dealing with the burden of non-communicable diseases.
