Resource Spotlight: eLearning Course: Health Workforce Productivity: An Approach for Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement

A new course on the Global Health eLearning Center explores the productivity of health workers at the facility level.

The course, Health Workforce Productivity: An Approach for Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement, explores basic concepts of health workforce productivity and provides descriptions of quantitative, formulaic approach for measuring productivity at the facility level.

The course investigates possible underlying causes of low productivity, along with methods to measure them. Potential interventions for productivity improvement and strengthening health services are covered.

Health Workforce Productivity: An Approach for Measurement, Analysis, and Improvement is aimed at health program and facility managers and supervisors along with health management teams from the district, regional and provincial level; and human resource for health managers and anyone who provides technical assistance to these people.
