Primary Health Care VIII Conference

The goal of the conference is to discuss national and international guidelines for the establishment of policies and practical strategies - with a view to concrete actions by nursing and midwifery professionals at different complexity levels - in the light of the primary health care renewal movement.

The central theme will be “Primary Health Care: Many perspectives, one goal” and will address topics such as nursing care, actions to articulate research with care practice, safe motherhood, the use of information technologies in primary health care, health professionals’ challenges and practical and innovative experiences in different realities, and leadership in nursing and midwifery. On the same day, the Brazilian Minister of Health, Jose Gomes Temporao will present a lecture on health diplomacy and the role of the state and public health policies for the renewal of basic care. The conference will be July 28-30 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. [adapted from conference webpage]
