Designing and Managing HIV and AIDS Programs In Sub-Saharan Africa


 

While prevention of HIV infection remains the most important approach to the control of the epidemic, care and support for the infected and affected is becoming crucial, as is the need for designing longer-term integrated HIV and AIDS Programs. This course will be held 18-27 August 2008 in Lilongwe, Malawi and will equip participants with practical strategic management skills for developing effective interventions to address HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support issues.

Course content includes:

  • community -based HIV/AIDS management systems;
  • human resources management;
  • managing HIV/AIDS as a workplace issue; and
  • strategic Planning and operational planning.
