International Forum on HIV and AIDS in Conflict, Post-Conflict and Emergency Contexts
The conference will take place 13-16 October 2008 in Nairobi, Kenya and is designed to provide space for sharing experiences in addressing HIV and AIDS in conflict, post-conflict and emergency situations, with a view to identifying gaps in HIV & AIDS responses. Participants will also define strategies for strengthening the response to HIV in situations affected by conflict. More importantly, the forum will develop and offer recommendations on how to establish a framework for creating synergy in responding to HIV & AIDS in conflict, post-conflict and emergency situations.
The Forum theme is: "Exploring Evidence, Strengthening Action” and includes sub-themes on topics such as gender violence and human and non-human resources for interventions in conflict situations.
